Howdy,

take a look over on GB FINISHED auctions.

The more common the item, the more accurate the pricing.

ymmv.

If this is a 3 screw Blackhawk .45 Colt then it would be a steal(If all original lockwork parts are there),The parts alone are worth more than the asking price. If it's an original Vaquero then it's too much

wow. Internal parts are now over 500 bucks ? Lord help us all.

I just saw one that looked real good with asking price of 775.00,so he just might get the price he's asking.

The lock work parts are going for $160-175,Cylinder $100-125,Grip frame $75-100,Grips $50-60,Barrel $100-125,receiver $125-175,misc leftover parts $50-75.

so at the top end prices you have $825,at the low end you have $660, so the parts are worth more then the asking price. These are for a 3 screw Blackhawk in .45 colt.of course condition plays a lot in these prices but most of the parts can be made better with a good restoration.they didn't make a lot of the .45 Blackhawks so prices will continue to rise

This is why it's so aggravating that folks call the original large frame Vaquero "old model". Because Ruger's designation for pre 1973 single actions is "Old Model" and post 1973 single actions with the transfer bar action are "New Models". Of which the Vaquero is one.

If it's an Old Model Blackhawk .45, they are scarcer than the .44 flat-tops, as they were only made for two years. Typically, a clean shooter grade will go for about $600, with nicer to mint examples as much as double that. With the finish "work" done to it, it would really only be suitable as a project gun and worth much less than the asking price.

Personally, I don't think you're going to get $600-$800 parting one out in 70% condition.
