DeaconKC Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Well, we survived several days of deluge. 16" measured by the guy across the street from us in 2 1/2 days. Glad we had a new roof put on and some drainage work done last year. Ordered a new Super 38 yesterday, so it should be here late this week. Getting used to a red dot on my carry gun, I'm a dinosaur, so it is a challenge.

We’ve had a couple of springs, including this one, that have produced heavy rainfall and resulting flooding! Now these people are demanding that the government, (and they don’t care what level of government) “Buy them out” of their follies!! I truly and sincerely HATE to pay for other people’s stupidity!! (I pay for enough of my own without subsidies)

Stormed pretty heavily early this morning but it’s clearing off now. Poked, prodded, tapped, and drained by the doc and the vampires!! No news ‘til the tests come back!

I can get the job done, but it's lost a lot of the fun factor due to frustration with being unable to hold anywhere remotely steady. I’ll probably have to ride Schoolmarm’s Sportster if I do. I’m way too vain to ride my old scoot with it needing paint and a month’s worth of polishing!!

Hope to feel better in the morning. Cause is that we're getting used to the different brands of things here at the local grocery. Every once in a while we hit something that causes some GI distress, then we know what not to buy.

The new tires, work great... took her up to 104 Mph. fer a brief spell to see how they worked... Dunlop 404s. I plan on washing her sometime before Christmas... Blackwater 53393 Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Rainy again here, today. I’m sitting here in the cast and can’t get outside anyway, but it’s dreary and depressing!! Jabez! I like the Avon Venom tire! It gives great traction in good weather and adequate in the wet, (and I’ve had plenty of the wet) and it wears great. With the extra HP we built into this old Shovelhead, I went to a tire two sizes larger than factory because the stock size tire wore excessively from slippage on acceleration. GOOD TIRES GET YOU GOOD TIMES!!

Rev Willy Dunkum, SASS # 61027 Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Ive felt like crap the past two years. Health issues hit hard as soon as I hit Elder Statesman status. First it was a pacemaker. Now hips are making it so I have trouble walking. Doc says its bursitis. Can't run anymore so gaining weight. Eye doc says he is scheduling me for cataract surgery so I'm falling apart. Now I know why I'm truly a GOFWG! I earned it!
