Reloading:

* FPS = Feet per second,velocity

*CUP = Copper Units of Pressure, measurement different from FPS

* gr = grain weight

* vol = volumetric weight

* Pb = Symbol for Lead

* Metplat = the flat part of the bullet nose

* FL Die = Full Length Seating Die

* COAL - Cartridge Overall Length

* Muzzle - front end of the barrel bore

* Breech - the first part of the chamber for a loaded round

* Leade - area of minor taper just ahead of the rifling origin

* Crown - degree tapering of muzzle

* Twist - The 1 inch rotation of a bullet in a barrel bore 1:14, etc

* Forcing cone - see Leade

* MOA - Minutes of Angle inches for determining trajectory settings for bullet drop at various distances

JB I think ya got FPS mixed up with PSI. Usually CUP is measured differently than PSI. FPS is velocity and CUP or PSI is pressure. kR

Ma'am your list has two errors. SAA is a trade-marked abbreviation of Colt and has been since 1873. You do not see any other maker use it because they are well aware that they will swiftly hear from Colt's lawyers if they dare to do so. So only a real Colt may be correctly referred to as a SAA or Single Action Army.

Also USFA is US Fire Arms shortened from the original USPFA or US Patent Firearms Co. USFA is NOT short for United States Firearms Association. Don't know where that came from. Also the company never spelled out United States in either of its USFA or USPFA designations. Just used the US only
