Widder, SASS #59054
1st: does anyone know how I can get on a Ruger owners website and forum? 2nd: When cycling my 22/45 (magazine out), I have noticed that my bolt has a slight hesitation in closing after its traveled about 1/2" of initial forward travel. WHAT would cause this hesitation and can it be remedied, preferably by me? Thanks ..........Widder
Chili Ron
Howdy, Im pretty sure your ruger is just disappointed that it doesn't have a bullet. If it works properly with ammo what more can you ask? That's just the latest variation on the gun that started the company. Load up and shoot, pard. Please stop looking for problems. I have a 9 shooter made when Bill still walked the production floor. No worries. btw if yours has removable grips, I BEGGED the CEO to make that change. And they did. Kulshan 20262
I am not an expert, and I don't have a 22/45. Now that that's out of the way, I checked my MK II and it has a little "bump" in the middle of the bolt travel. I think you can feel the bolt ride on the hammer until the sear catches the hammer as the bolt closes.
Chili Ron
Howdy Widdr,, Someday if we ever git to meet, please remind me to bring my ruger 22 mkII. Chief AJ worked it a little fer me. You might like it. Best CR
Widder, SASS #59054
Well, its not the extractor. And, the pistol has been fired only 100 rounds and has been cleaned. I took it apart last night (again) and all seems to fit o.k...... but that little bump feeling is still there. KULSHAN: I think you are correct. It appears that may be the 'feeling' that I am experiencing. THREE of us (me, my brother, and a friend) all bought one of these new 22/45's. Mine and my friends pistol has that little 'bump' feeling as described above. BUT, the one my brother has doesn't have that bump feeling. I will probably check out his hammer to see if it has a rounded corner or something different than mine. CHILI: Would love to see it. I'm thinking of putting some Volquartsen parts in mine to help with trigger pull, etc..... ..........Widder
