I have read this article and 1 or 2 others similar to it and I am confused. Is this a good deal or not? Generally when I see "compromise" I feel that our side and views got the shaft.

Phantom, the reason I placed the quotes around "compromise" is that anytime the political elite see fit to allow us a bit more latitude in exercising our unalienable right to keep and bear arms, they seem to feel they are magnanimously compromising with the people. In my view, a small lessening in the current 20,000+ restrictions on an unalienable right is something that should never be "compromised" or bargained for in their sense of the word. You can't compromise away an unalienable right to any degree. I've always felt the Second Amendment is our ultimate carry permit.
