They even use the same mainsprings (old style, no locks). BUT, that said, last week I had a "pair" or New models in to put spring kits in, and, guess what? While both were New Model Vaqueros, one had the new spring (with lock), and the other had the old style spring (no lock). Go figger. Who knows What Ruger is doing or thinking.
