Calamity Kris Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I was saddened by the loss of David Bowie last week. I'm deeply saddened by the loss of Glenn Frey. The music world will really miss you both.
Tex Jones, SASS 2263 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 RIP, Glenn. Loved "Smuggler's Blues".
Blackwater 53393 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Song writer and performer extraordinare!! The impetus and driving force behind the Eagles, even by Don Henley's account. He will be missed and remembered! The Eagles were set to receive Kennedy Center honors last year, but the ceremony was postponed because of Frey's health issues. 45 years in the industry. Sad!
Capt. R. Hugh Kidnme Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Huge musical talents. He formed, and led one of my all time favorite bands.I saw The Eagles open for the Doobie Brothers tour, @1975, and was hooked. RIP

Colonel Lou Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Just grabbed a bourbon and put on Hell Freezes Over. Drinking one for Glenn.
guitar_slinger Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Soundtrack of a wasted youth. I spent a lot of hours listening to the Eagles. In fact, they are part of the reason I picked up playing guitar back in the mid 70's. Tequila Sunrise was the 2nd song I learned how to play. Rest in Peace, Glenn.
Bama Red Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Damn! He was younger than me....... Hotel California, Desperado and his solo work - just amazing. RIP, Glenn.
