Yank_MaChain Posted January 17, 2016 Share Posted January 17, 2016 First outing with my tuned Chiappa 87 and it was working great! 4th stage I used it on, I loaded two and shot the first round, then it jammed and it wouldn't open all the way. Needless to say I was disappointed thinking my '87 was living up to what most expect of them. Today I finally figured out how to get the breech open and I was surprised by what I saw. Cat Brules Posted January 18, 2016 Share Posted January 18, 2016 You say you fired one round, no problemo, then trying to crank in the second round, a piece of rifle brass jumped into the action?.....While you were shooting the shotgun string? Or, was that piece of brass already in the shotgun's action? Was the piece of brass sitting on your hat and fell into the 87's top-opening action when you ejected the first round?
