Lankyframe #44046
I've been pondering on a new gun belt. I've noticed a lot of the makers offer a tappered belt, I have a ranger style now. What are the pros and cons of a tappered belt? Lanky
Kulshan 20262
The tapered belt is easier to put on tight, a roller buckle helps a lot also. There is an advantage if you take the gunbelt off every stage.
Springfield Slim SASS #24733
It is lighter and not as bulky in the front, also easier to fit a shotgun slide in the front. No extra belt to have to fed through the keeper.

Trailrider #896
Easier to bend over at the waist. Probably a tad less expensive as they require less labor (sewing on the buckle billet and the tongue on the ranger style belt), and a bit less material. Some posse workers (T/Os, spotters, brass pickers, target setters) remove their gun & ammo belts when not shooting to make it easier to perform those duties. Others may have medical issues that make it more comfortable to remove the belts when not on the line. Some of us do it for both reasons.
