Warden Callaway Posted January 2, 2016 Share Posted January 2, 2016 I took part of my alias from the name of the county - Callaway - that is named in honor of Captain James Callaway. Captain James Callaway was the grandson of Daniel Boone. He lived a bold and eventful but short life ending by being killed by indigent people while this part of Missouri was on the edge of the frontier. Captain James Callaway died before the era of photography and no likeness is available. I changed my avatar to an old picture of William Dudley Callaway - likely of the same family tree.
