Your Cowboy Action new years resolutions.

Go to at least one out of state match. Probably Oregon State and/or Nevada. Maybe UT.

Learn to load ammo so I will have something to shoot.

P-p-practice with the 1911.

Running a sewing machine takes more skill than running a progressive reloader. (I know, I can run both.) You will learn quickly.

3. Sell my big RV and buy a small TT.

Try and get out to shoot at least once a month.

Shot a BUNCH the last several years, and a WHOLE lot the first half of 2015.

But have only shot 2 matches after EOT and have not shot at all

the last 4 months.

So want to get out and shot at least one monthly a month.

Another CAS resolution is to slow down just enough to clean some shoots! My raw times are really pretty good, mid 20's to low 30's, but I miss too much! That's always been my problem and since I've gone back to smokeless I have no excuse to miss because I can actually SEE the targets now! :P

If I don't make it through a high risk surgery I am having in a few days I am going to talk with St. Peter and get CAS shooting matches organized. This means that will not be thunder you will be hearing during storms but our shotguns being fired. :D

Wow. Lots of fantastic goals here.

I'm just hoping I can shoot more than 3 times in 2016. That will best 2015 for me.

SS,

first of all, I hope your surgery goes well and you'll have to meet St.Peter at a later date.

BUT, for the record, St.Peter could care less about CAS because he was a Fisherman. Now, if you are looking for a good fishing hole, St.Peter would probably be the one to talk with 'up there'.

BUT, if you want to petition the Almighty for CAS, King David might be your best choice. He knows something about projectile competition and such..... ;)

1. Shoot more sub 30 sec stages.

2. Shoot clean a few more times. ( have only shot one clean match in 2 years of shooting)

3. Attend a few more big matches in state and out of state.

4. Listen and apply tips and advice I receive from Deuce and others to improve my game.

5. Get one of my grand kids to shoot with me so I have a partner to attend matches with.

6. Stay healthy so I can enjoy this game for a long time.

Dirty Bart , :D

1. To shoot more.

2. To not argue with Wire stump.pngs.

3. To convince our favorite "Ghost Borg" to not also.

To load up enough ammo this winter to have enough for the summer.

To try that practice thing a little more.

To shoot a full match with sub 20 second stages

To try and make out out to shoot with duece, straight arrow, Carty, and doc

I'm a little confused by all of this winter talk, specifically the extra downtime for reloading. Someone please explain

Consider it your extreme foggy conditions with a little freezing thrown in.

(1) - Get 80 shooters to attend The Kansas Bp State Match

(2) - Win Classic Cowboy Category at a state match this year

(3) - Get my current hammered shotgun tuned up, along with pistols.

You're doing well. You got me coming.

I resolve to shoot as many locals as possible, using the techniques I know but do not apply well.

Hopefully the above will let me shoot better.

Get ready for Back at Cha.

You should have shot at DD's Cowboy Town today. We felt like "you know where" froze over. Also, try shooting Chabot in the snow, which has happened in the summer.

Well I did shoot at coyote valley last weekend and it was below freezing. I actually had to search my entire garage for an ice scraper. I haven't needed one in about ten years. It was a mighty cold shoot, but some Cowboys three some beans on the fire before the match and those beans warmed us up quite well. I do feel sorry for those that have to take a break for winter, but seeing how I'm down to about one shoot extra of ammo right now perhaps its not such a bad thing.

1. shoot more

2. attend EOT ( never have)

3. get knee fixed (or change alias to Gimpy)

Rafe

Mine?

Improve shooting one handed so I can chase Rafe around (no, I won't kick him in the knee to slow him down)

Go to a couple out of town matches

Have fun at Bordertown!

That is all.......

My CAS resolutions:

1. Shorten the stock on my wife's Stoeger shotgun so it fits her better

2. Get another Ruger Vaquero so I have my gun setup complete

3. Goto a match at another Texas club to try something different.

I am going to have fun. I am an old man playing a friggin game. Life is too short to take a game seriously. If I want a Cadillac I can buy one.
