Sedalia Dave
Very nice. Wonder why everyone is in Western style clothing except Johnny Crawford? More that a couple are wearing their guns. Fixed it. Thanks Hardpan Curmudgeon

Sedalia Dave
Photo was taken as part of WHEN THE WEST WAS FUN A Western Reunion Set in a western saloon, Glenn Ford hosted a gathering of western television and film series stars including cast members from The Lone Ranger, The High Chaparral, The Virginian, Lawman and many others. This special event program brought ABC-TV its highest ratings of 1979. If you grew up on westerns like we did, (and despite the campy dialogue) it was fun to reminisce about those cherished childhood heroes with the stars who played them. Several other western stars not physically there appeared in clips of films aired as part of the show. Others were omitted due to contractual issues between the studios. Near the end of the show, Ford says "This one's for you Duke." At the time, John Wayne (who was suppose to watch the telecast), was in the hospital suffering from the final stages of cancer. Zeb Gray, #36839
Just viewed the youtube "When the West was Fun". Great memories with misty eyes & a lumpy throat. It was wonderful to see all those reminders of years past. But, thank you to SASS & Cowboy Action Shooting for making the "West Fun Now".
