Large loop lever

Howdy: building a just for fun rifle and need a large loop lever for a Chiappa copy

of 1892 Winchester. Have tried Brownells but only have for the Marlin. Thanks for any help.

Most pards take a post as FOR SALE unless marked otherwise.

A fair number of folks try the big loop and some don't like it.

Could be one in a box somewhere.....?

I just got rid of my Rossi M92 with a large loop lever, I tried it for "B" Western and I was really surprised how it slowed up my rifle handling during a stage. It does look kewl though!

You might check with Cimarron (ask for Kirk). When they were selling the Chiappa '92's they had some extra large levers.

Take a look at steve's gunz he has some for the rossi 92 on his site for sale.

While the Rossi and the Chiappa are copies of the same gun parts will probably not interchange, at least not with out considerable fitting.

 

check with Legacy or Taylor's for a replacement. I believe they both import the Chiappa.

The other option is the original method: have a gunsmith alter the lever that you have. You know that this lever works, and you will not need it if the large loop lever is the forever-lever for this gun. My guess is that this could done for around $100.

Now that's a decent idea. Have the loop made to your specs.

You wont be locked into the huge size most makers decide on.

There are several sizes and shapes.

On my lever action .22 rifle I purchased a large loop lever from Gun parts and had the large loop cut off and welded to the rifle lever which was also cut

 

Hold onto the small lever that the welder cut of if ever want to revert it back. It looks original and works perfectly. Only cost was $5.00 for the small weld job.

I resently purchased one from Steve. Our local gunsmith, Curly Bill, still had to do some work on it to get it to work.

I was at Cimarron today helping to pull guns for ShotShow. Talked to Kirk and he says they still have the Chiappa big loop levers in the parts bin.
