Noz Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Woke up this morning to our first major blizzard of the year. Totally unexpected. Commerce is paralyzed. Traffic is near standstill and with reason. Temperature is a bone chilling 33 degrees and in many places the grass is covered with at least 1/4" of snow. Hard times in the Ozarks.
Blastmaster Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Saddle up,,,, time to shoot! Roll up the sleeves and get after it. Might be a time where SASS dress code is relaxed a bit.
Calamity Kris Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Woke up this morning to our first major blizzard of the year. Totally unexpected. Commerce is paralyzed. Yep it's snowing/freezing rain/sleeting to your north as well. I've decided the best place for me to be right now is snuggled up in my house. I'll let the amateurs play out on the nasty roads. I need to keep my car in good shape for a while longer........
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Stay safe and warm. Cold here also, but no snow in the lower elevations. Frost on the pumpkin tho. If I had a pumpkin.
Noz Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 I had to go out and put the garden hoses away and close the crawl space vents. I spent all of 15 minutes and I think I got back inside before frostbite set in. Making a fresh pot of coffee to make sure.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 COFFEE IZ GUD, NOZ. Especially in the cold morning air.

J-BAR #18287 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Four hardy dedicated souls showed up for workday at the Southern Missouri Rangers' Outlaw Range this morning. Wind, rain, snow could not deter the faithful... We actually got some stuff done! Took a hot shower, had a bowl of chili for lunch and now I can feel virtuous all week!!
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Just say the word. Our power company's trucks are ready to roll. They need to get warmed up for when TSRHTF.
DocWard Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I've driven through an actual blizzard in the Ozarks. Think I got my first gray hairs on that drive.
Noz Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 Not like this one. The snow didn't melt till near 8 am.
