I am not sure if the mystery stage will make the cut. It was before my time with the club and I personally have never shot it, but it has the reputation of one of those stages that people either loved or hated. I have lots & lots & lots of stories about shakedown trips. Lots. And, I think RV's are a lot like chainsaws. If they're going to work right, you have to get to know each other pretty well. We have shot this match for many years now and have never had to wait this long for the awards. This will call for another night stay in the hotel to stay for the awards and dinner. We strung up a cowboy with a right proper noose and then shot the rope. We did have a bit of a problem finding volunteers while walking around with a rope tied into a hangmans noose. We also got some strange looks at the hardware store when we asked for rope. Me; I need some rope. Clerk; right over here sir. What kind of rope do need? Me; 1 inch Manila rope. Clerk; what are going to use it for? (He took the bait) Me; A right proper hanging. Clerk; awkward silence. Um.... Me; well we are going to use it for a target. Clerk; I thought you was going to hang somebody. Me; We are but we are going to shoot the rope in two. Clerk; Um... Me; Well we are going to hang a target and then shoot the rope. The clerk has a relieved look on his face. We did this at 3 different stores before we found the rope. We invited one clerk to the hanging and he was all in as long he wasn't getting hanged or shot.
