S&W Governor revolver used, but in beautiful condition. This firearm has the black anodized scandium alloy frame and comes with a tritium front sight(glows in dark)...The pistol is chambered in .45 colt /.45acp(w moon clips) and .410 (shotshell) The original sales packaging and accessories that the pistol came with upon purchase will also be included as well....The gun was lightly fired w/ light loads, so thiers not much wear and tear...... I think a price of $600.00 + $35.00 FFL fee is a good deal, let me know what y'all think

excellent pistol y'all. I got a shoulder holster from El Paso Saddlery I used it for snakes while out in the woods. I'd highly recommend it. do you have a picture?

BTT for an excellent pistol. hoping someone will buy it as it's tempting to have a spare on hand. they make 410 shells designed for this pistol for self defense. recoil is not bad even with #6 40 shells in it. light recoil with cowboy load 45 LC.

With cities and states considering the banning of semi-auto's and high capacity magazines lately, I decided to get a Governor last month. I paid $749.00 for the lesser priced version of the Governor. I can still use all of the 45ACP I have accumulated over the years.

This is a very good deal. If I had waited about a week you would not have to worry about this thread any more. Castalia

Too bad, and you live in AZ as do I..... Prob could have done a face to face and saved you the FFL fee as well(only need to deal w/that when it ships thru the mail) So just the $650.00 and it's yours! Anyone else who see's this can use that as a incentive to buy it if they live in AZ as well.....hint...hint.. ;)

It is one of the most versatile pistols out there. I can put 45ACP in two cylinders, a 45LC snake shot in one, a 45LC lead in another and two 410 shells in the last two. So if I am out in the woods and run into a snake, no problem, if I run into a rabid coyote, easy to solve, if I run into an escaped convict, still have the solution . Besides it's a smith and wesson and thus good quality. holds an extra round compared to the taurus judge. El Paso Saddlery makes an excellent shoulder holster for it. I have the GI model for when I am on my tractor or hunting.

Try firing winchester super x .5oz rifled slugs out it!....1830fps velocity!! I call these babies crowd pleasers!! basketball size muzzle flash, and a bang that will turn heads at any indoor rang! absolutly amazing!!

cool. gives me the idea to shoot my GOEX 45LC BP loads out of that short barrel.

I was gonna trim down some 45/70 brass to 60mm, and then load up some 240gr .451" slugs...... wanted to replicate the winchester super x .410 slugs but in a brass case that I could reload(the factory shells cost $5.00 per box of 5, a dollar each!)

Ballistic Products sells .410 2 1/2 in. brass cases. Just ordered some. Just have to find some bullets to load. A 45/70 won't fit in the chamber. Tried it. Castalia

Cool to know that what I thought was possible and imagined doing is actually being done by others!...(I knew I couldnt be the only one thinking this stuff up)

When I saw that you had a Governor for sale wow I wonder what is wrong with with your Governor that you want to sell him. Then I thought what a great idea. I would love to sell our Governor from New York and wondered how much I could get for him then I thought better on it and realized that I would be willing to pay someone to take him.

LOL great reply!!........ Most are worthless, "but mine can kill a man twice" "I've been known to kill a man twice"(the motto I live by) :);):D:lol::P

just think, if just one person in Paris the other night had this pistol with them loaded with 000 buck 410. it might have been a little different for some of them

As a man once said "A armed society is a polite society"..... Every time I strap my gun on my side and wear it visible not concealed as usual. I notice that people get doors for me,address me as sir,and are very respectable to me..... When I carry concealed or lord forbid not at all, I get treated very differently. For the most part people wont even give me the time of day or any amount of decent respect(the type that use to be common to get 15yrs ago while not wearing a firearm!!) Society I fear is on the decline and about to endure a mess of fallout from our practices here on this planet!

Posted

you are right folks open doors for you when openly carrying. I once walked into a gun store with a Garand and as I left the store a Sheriff Deputy saw me coming and opened the door and stepped aside.

I once had a deputy open the door and step aside,,,, while the sheriff drug me inside. Hope to get a Gov before next fishing season, snakes are not one of my favorite critters BUT alligators just can not be tolerated at all!

Posted

Slowhand Bob, the Governor will be enough to handle the snakes or the gator or the cougar that sneaks up behind you or the egret trying to eat your catch and the guy carjacking your truck on the way home.

Try the Federal Premium 410 Handgun 2 1/2 in. 000 Buckshot loads. Huge ball of fire. Be careful to hold on tight. This load will try to torque the gun right out of your hand.

When I fired this load at a local indoor range the owner called a cease fire and wanted to know if I blew up my gun. The other people that were shooting stopped what they were doing and were concerned that I was all right.

The Hornady Critical Defense 410 Triple Defense FTX Slug & Two Round Balls are a handful also.

The Winchester PDX1 loads are accurate and easier to control.

JMHO Castalia.

found the winchester slugs for it yesterday. will try it soon

Those rounds are so incredibly bad ass! I went online and ordered $150.00 bucks worth of 'em from Cabellas.....Be careful when you fire 'em, they are the hottest by far of anything I ever fired outta that puppy! ------And I tested everything you ever heard of and even stuff no ones heard of! <_< "CROWD PLEASERS" :D 454 casull recoil!!
