Midway USA. If they are out of them when you order put them on backorder and you will get them eventually, usually in a few weeks. But if you are lucky they will have them. You want Super Blackhawk hammers.

Ruger, Brownells, Midway. You are looking for the Ruger Super Blackhawk or Montado hammer. (Montado is the same as the SBH but has checkering instead of serrations. The serrations give a better grip on your thumb IMHO.)

Howdy,

I have been told that some come pretty rough.

I was lucky enuf to git a couple that had been on guns and

they are pretty smooth, dropped right in.

Best

Got some from Midway.

They came with very sharp edges that need'd some attention.

You can use green Scotchbrite to duplicate the factory finish.

Larsen's price is VERY fair :excl:

That said-There maybe an interference issue using the new hammers with the bottom of the cyl pawl contacting the grip frame.

NM Vaquero is an ambiguous description. All Rugers with transfer bars are NM. There is the Vaquero and New Vaquero. They don't make New Vaqueros in .44-40. That means you have to look for a pair of used Vaqueros.
