Noz Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I bought a Sony flat screen a year or so ago to use on Dish network. Worked fine for a while. Now it is stuck on Wide-Full or Wide-Zoom on all of the HD channels. Don't really care except when sports come on the score block is partially or completely off of the screen. I've pushed every button I can find to no avail. Help!! If you are wondering how this applies to CAS, it also affect my watching of the outdoor channel's shooting shows.
Sedalia Dave Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 What aspect ratio is ratio dish receiver set to? Also have you adjusted the TV when it is on an HD channel?
Nasty Newt # 7365 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 My Sony remote has a "Wide" button. I change it all the time depending on the channel.
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Check on the Dish menu. There should be a setting to adjust how Dish displays the show on the T.V.

Cliff Hanger #3720LR Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Another thing to check is the remote. I had to replace my remote when mine had buttons that didn't work at times or at all. New remote and all was good again. Now I do notice that when the batteries are low the remote response slows down. I push a button and a few seconds pass before the tv reacts. Put in new batteries and again all is good.

Ruff Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Not sure you can do it with a TV, but on a cell phone I would say do a factory restore. Have you tried unplugging over night to see if it will reset itself?

Chili Ron Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Howdy, Ive had some weird electrical problems corrected by shutting down power to the item and letting it cool off for a couple hours. And remotes can get bits of stuff down in between the keys. Especially if anyone big or small handles the remote with food on their fingers. And one of the best things Ive bought is a little battery tester. It doesn't help to put in a dead or near dead battery. The wonderful folks at the cable place handed me a remote with two new looking batteries. One full charge and one near dead. Yes I checked them BEFORE I put them in. Saved me some grief. Gotta love battery testers. Hope something helps. Best CR
