WTB: Marlin 39M (Mountie)

I'm thinking I would like to have a Marlin 39M.

 

I would like to have a NIB or maybe LN (with or without box)

 

I think some of them came with round and some with octagon barrels.

I found one. I had to refinance the truck and throw in a Buck 'canoe' 2 blade pocket knife...

If you want it for the short barrel, you may want to check out the 39CL (century limited) also. It has a 20" oct barrel, brass medalion on side or receiver and stock and brass butt plate. Kind of a fancied up 39M.. Not 39a CL it has the 24" barrel.

I found a 39A with a straight stock and 20" barrel. Its just what I was looking for.

 

I should have bought an 1897 (or Texan) a few years back when I saw it in the gun store. But $$$ wasn't in my pocket at that time.

 

But this short, round barrel version (with NO barrel bands) is pretty much what I been wanting.
