The Media and Political Campaigns

I'd like to keep this from getting too political, so please understand that I'm just commenting on the media and politics.

 

We have 15 months to go and you'd think the presidential election is this November, not next. The media has already declared the front runner after today's GOP "debate". Why bother paying attention to any of these folks as the media tells us what "reality" is. Sound bites, photo ops and contrived drama are all that matters. Substance? Bah! It's just entertainment.

 

I'm tuned out until spring '16

It's all white noise until next fall. What they say now doesn't mean a whole lot to most people. The media will do their best to trash any of them that show the most conservatism, IMHO, of course.

I watch and read everything I can, I want to be informed about what's going on. I agree the mainstream media is lame and I don't pay attention much to them but there are many many sources to read and watch to get a variety of different views! I guess I'm kind of a political junkie! (ABH)
