Utah Bob #35998
Stoopid rain has cancelled our club match and turned my range into a mudslide fit only for a close combat course. If only I had some barb wire and a 1919.

Utah Bob #35998
Not a cloud in the sky this morning. "Good time to get er done", I sez to myself. Then when I get back from town after my weekly supply run, the skies darken,:-)the thunder rolls and...well you know the drill. Going to be busy all day tomorrow. Mebbe Thursday. Whut's the deadline again?

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Looks like I am going to be a Johnny come Lately also. I had hoped to get 'er done today. Had to take Momma to town. Got home at 1530 hours. Ain't gonna get to the range today. Tomorrow don't look good either but I could perhaps? Maybe. Rain in the forecast? Bays are covered. Targets will get wet. What the hey. Friday is out. Have to check on Saturday. ED: Range is closed for Action Pistol on Saturday, and the annual picnic on Sunday. Looks like it is gonna be Monday. Ramblin Gambler
Daggum it I think I messed up. I used 50 yard targets. I printed out the targets in the PDF link someone posted, and I figured I'd only break them out if the range didn't have what I needed. I thought the ones I printed out were awful small, so I wasn't surprised when I saw what the range had and it was what I'd call normal target size. Anyway, I'm not going to have a chance to redo it, but I'll post my targets to prove it's not worth the time.
Ramblin Gambler
50 yards 100 yards. If this target had been a nazi, I'm not sure he would have even been annoyed.

Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
Awright... From our trip to the range Sunday, July 25. Two sets of targets ~ mine and Sassparilla Kid's. Brisk and blustery afternoon, wind from the left. Calmed down for the Kid for his 100 yard shots. And at the end, just for the fun of it, his (the Kid's) 100 yard 5-shot target with the venerable old '03 - 6 o'clock hold. Bottom hole was a flyer of mine from a lower target. I ain't about to share a picture of THAT target!

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Well, I got the target frame repaired and I think I am ready to shoot for record. Got the truck loaded except for the smokepole and a few last minute items. They say we are supposed to get rain tomorrow, but HAH, they have been saying that all week and all we get is pigeon pee. Onward and upward!

Utah Bob #35998
And I'm still confused on the targets. I thought they were NRA 50 ft Pistol? Maybe I'll shoot balloons.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Are we shooting 200 yards now? I can't keep up. If that is the venue, I am sunk. I can't see 200 yards. When I looked at the target at 50 yards sighting in thought to myself, that dang bull shrunk while I was carrying it down there. It looked quite normal at the bench but even through the spotting scope it looked small. Don't know what 100 yards will bring. Second thought maybe I should take more ammunition. Marshal Dan Troop 70448
50ft pistol targets. at 50 yards, and at 100 yards. Those are the only ones that will be elgible for the prizes. Others are considered just having "Fun with my Garand". 3 days left 17th august midnight EST. MT I didn't think it would be this hard.

Sassparilla Kid and I are in the "Having Fun With my Garand" category. Folks in these parts have never heard of the 50 ft targets... at least no one in the shooting emporiums in a two-county area. But it was fun! ('Specially seeing the Kid's "just for fun" 100 yard '03 group! )
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
I thunk it was all JUST FOR FUN. I am shooting off the rest because my left arm went south on me. Right arm ain't much better. Shooting off the rest takes me out of competing with fellers that do it correctly. Besides, I am a lover, not a killer. Muleshoe Bill SASS #67022
I do not have any 50 foot targets, but figured I would shoot some offhand anyhow. I had not shot this rifle since CMP sent it to me. What got to me is how corroded the brass was and that 90% of the necks split. Something tells me that brass is on its way to the recycler.
