No Horse Hair, SASS #77464 Posted July 12, 2015 Share Posted July 12, 2015 We've had our last shoot before the move and I'd like to thank all the shooters that showed up and participated. We had a great crowd of about 50 shooters. Now the heavy work has started. We have to be vacated by Aug 15th. Our (hopefully) new place is still brush and trees, very wet, and still under negotiation. But, we have started the dismantling process. Immediately after the shoot the Church was dismantled and cleaned up. Minor Incident, Pine Ridge Jack and Big Iron pulled posts and dismantled props. Yesterday we had a great crew on site. Myself, along with Dakota, Deadly Dave, Backwater Bob, Leadpumper, and Big Iron showed up and tore into moving the stage bldgs. The legs to all the bldgs. were braced and cut off. We fashioned skids and pulled each out of the woods to the parking lot. All of the splatter guard panels are removed and the posts pulled. All of the loading tables have been pulled. The only remaining structure is the roof over the dining area. It was hot , steamy labor that was attacked by the crew, not pretty- but a job well done! We couldn't have done it without Big Iron and a JD Backhoe. Loads of stands, tables, props, and lumber will have to be loaded and hauled out before our eviction date. Regardless of whether our new site is ready or not, in the next several weeks we'll need lots of help completing this move. Our usual shooting date (first Sat of month) has been set for a moving day. All help will be appreciated, bring your gloves, water and pick up! Between now and then we still have the roof section to dismantle and some cleanup work. Contact one of us if you can help.
