Tyrel Cody Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Dixie put on a ladies clinic this past Saturday down at Wartrace and I wanted to say THANK YOU again! I finally talked Missus Tyrel into coming to a match with me and attending Dixies' clinic. I haven't seen her smile that much in a while; I believe she may be hooked and I may be more broke real soon Also need to thank Randy Saint Eagle, Alchemist Belle, Garnet Gal, Branchwater Jack, and Cumberland Drifter their contributions; If I have left anyone off this list I do apologize.
Allie Mo, SASS No. 25217 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Bravo! I'm always happy to hear when a family starts shooting together. Have fun! Allie
Widder, SASS #59054 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 First of all........... Good job Dixie. Dodge City Dixie and Reno Mustang are 2 of the finest folks anywhere and both are good ambassadors of our sport. Second...... Congrats Tyrel. I hope you have to spend more money on some new guns..... for the Ms Tyrel... I hope to be at Wartrace in July. If so, I will see you there. ..........Widder
cumberland drifter Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Great job Dixie, Reno, and Randy. The girls seemed to really be enthused with learning and having a great time. Thanks for putting in your own time, money , and effort to help promote our sport. Tyrel, start buying them guns. I believe that she is hooked. Drifter
Dodge City Dixie Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Tyrel, it was an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to give back in a small way by doing the clinic. Your wife was amazing on Saturday, especially considering it was her very first experience. When we discovered that she is right handed, but left eye dominant she began hitting the targets really well and everyone was cheering her on! Thanks to Branchwater Jack for providing his special glasses that saved the day. Since he has this same combination of right handed/left eye dominant he has developed a way of dealing with it that seems to work very well. One more example of a cowboy/cowgirl helping one another! Reno and I have been blessed by receiving help from many cowboys and cowgirls since starting in this sport, so we thoroughly enjoy being able to give back whenever we can. All I had to do was mention the idea of having a ladies clinic and there were people immediately volunteering to help in any way needed. We have some awesome people at Wartrace that make it a terrific home club. I especially want to thank Randy Saint Eagle, who contributed in a big way and was very instrumental in the clinic being what I believe was a big success. The other members of the team that helped make it a success were Alchemist Belle, Branchwater Jack, Donald Duke, Cumberland Drifter, Garnet Gal and of course, my loving and very supportive husband, Reno Mustang. Widder, thanks for the kind words. Also, you would have been proud of "Widdower" (for those of you who don't know her, she's my '94 Marlin super slicked up by Widder). She was well used at the clinic on Saturday by several of the shooters and she performed like a champ! You just can't beat a good Marlin, especially when she's been worked on by Widowmaker Hill, a.k.a. "Widder"! Drifter, thank you for the kind words and especially for volunteering to help with the clinic. I should also mention that Drifter has been a tremendous help to me in learning ways to improve my shooting and it's very much appreciated. Drifter, I do agree with you that Tyrel should be prepared to buy more guns because his lovely wife may very well be hooked and want to join us in having so much fun! Dixie
Randy Saint Eagle, SASS # 64903 Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I'd like to also thank all the Ladies who participated in the clinic It was a lot of fun and I hope it helped them with their shooting skills. I've posted a report on my blog from the match and the Ladies Clinic. http://wartracecowboys.blogspot.com/2015/06/wartrace-june-cowboy-wild-bunch-match.html Thanks Randy

Way to go, Dixie! Glad you all are giving back, especially to the cowgirls. That's one way how we keep this sport alive and growing. Get the ladies involved and their gents will get to shoot more and their children and grandchildren will start to shoot as well. It's a great family event! See you on the trail, lady! P.S. Let me know if you need anything (clinic material or anything else). You're awesome!
