Chili Ron
Howdy, A few miles away a class 4 tornado came thru and ripped a small town apart. Every building in the town was trashed. Local volunteers came and helped, tv crews put it on the air. The Govenor showed up, all sorts of food and clothes and so on. A couple weeks go by and the volunteers stop showing up. The tv crews go somewhere else. The Govenor has a budget crisis and the town is still a mess. So Im watching one morning news and they mention load luggers are in short supply. I like the idea of helping, but I don't like the idea of my hard to come by dollars ending up in the fuel tank of a fancy airplane or paying some charity exec a six or seven figure salary. I checked around and one of these huge load luggers can be rented and filled with trash or what used to be a house or whatever. The thing gets hauled to a dump and dumped for $400 a load. I called a company and talked to the guy and he told me these details. And so I pass them on to you. Any disaster, flood, fire, tornado whatever, leaves behind a mess that has to be cleared. If you really want to help, pay for a load of trash to get hauled away and dumped. You can be part of the solution and NOT have your money sidetracked into some bigshots pocket. Or don't.
