DocWard Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 A few of those jobs haven't changed much in 150+ years.
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Robotic arms and rammers now for some jobs.
Subdeacon Joe Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 A few of those jobs haven't changed much in 150+ years. What has changed the most is which end of the gun you load from. One thing I didn't like in that drill is #3's hand over the primer while #4 takes up slack in the lanyard. I learned to hold the lanyard cord down a few inches to the side of the vent. That way, if Something Happens the primer tube doesn't rip through your hand and you don't cook it as much. On the other hand, those bronze guns have a nice ring to them.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 All that black stuff will make your face look dirty.
