Trigger Mike Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Is there a noticeable difference between a sig sauer nightmare 1911 and a wilson CQB?
Happy Jack, SASS #20451 Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I assume you are talking about the nightmare?? YES ,the Wilson is a MUCH better pistol but costs twice as much. I have known Bill Wilson for over 35 years and the CQB series are as good as it gets. (Of course you can get prettier, Clark, Ed Brown, but you can't get better)
Tom Bullweed Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I shot IPSC for six years and bullseye for five years before getting pulled into SASS. Wilson and Les Baer 1911s were the top of the fame for both sports. Sigs may be just as good, but Wilson and Les Baer are known for decades of quality and excellent customer service.
Chili Ron Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Howdy, I found starting with a nice running Colt and putting on Wilson parts ever time something is worn out or broke worked pretty well. Your milage may vary.... Best CR
Loophole LaRue, SASS #51438 Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Man, I get jealous when folks talk about high-quality 1911's. Makers like Baer and Wilson (and even Colt) will not submit their guns for destructive testing in MA, and so new models (post '98, primarily) cannot be sold here. Drool. LL
