Turkey Bob
The April and May cowboy matches at Fort Beggs, Plainfield, IL will be regular matches, with the exception of some "bonus" fun to support one of our neighbor clubs, the annual Milan Rifle Club's St. Jude's Charity event held every Memorial day. Below is what was posted to the SASS wire and we at Fort Beggs would like to do everything possible to help these great people on their last event to raise their largest amount ever! Go out with a BANG!!!! For the past sixteen years, St Jude’s Charity Shoot has been the labor of love for two of the most selfless pards in our sport: TA Spurs and Shamrock Sis. This match was their brainchild, hatched when St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital stood ready to help with their son’s childhood ailment. They, along with Ole #7, Muleskinner Mary, and Dapper Dan, are the reason this shoot has become the preeminent event that it is.The work on the next match begins as the targets are being put away, and consumes much of their time. After 16 years and close to $400,000 in funds raised, they are going to call it a day and take a well- earned and much deserved rest. This will be the final St. Jude’s match. All the amenities of the previous matches will be there and maybe a few new wrinkles to celebrate the overwhelming success of this event.SO WHAT EVENTS ARE HAPPENING AT FORT BEGGS IN APRIL AND MAY MATCH TO HELP???
