Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
(Dang, man, these questions were answered a couple of days ago.) Yes, lots of pards shoot either Red Dot or Clay Dot for shotshell and pistol cartridge loads too. Both are excellent powders. Clay Dot can use the same load weight as Clays, which is was designed to substitute for. Red Dot is an old time and excellent powder and can do almost EVERYTHING in cowboy shooting. Good luck, GJ Here's some other threads to read: http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=235941 http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=235928 http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=235895 http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=235692 http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=235580 http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=235500 Dang, tired of pasting already. BLACKFOOT SASS #11947
Can you get red dot anymore? Supply seems kind of spotty, just like most fairly fast powders. Blackfoot
