Howdy Pards,

Does anyone use Red Dot for cowboy loads, .45, .38?

If so, PM me any load info you care to share.

Much obliged,

Boone

Does anyone use Clay Dot for rifle and pistol loads?

(Dang, man, these questions were answered a couple of days ago.) Yes, lots of pards shoot either Red Dot or Clay Dot for shotshell and pistol cartridge loads too.

Both are excellent powders. Clay Dot can use the same load weight as Clays, which is was designed to substitute for.

Red Dot is an old time and excellent powder and can do almost EVERYTHING in cowboy shooting.

Good luck, GJ

Lyman Cast Bullet handbook has lots of loads suitable for SASS using Red Dot in 38 special.

Same for Clays and Clay Dot

You can also go to Alliant's website and click on the Cowboy Loads link.

Can you get red dot anymore?

I've bought 2 kegs out here lately and seen quite a bit of it at different suppliers.
