Dawg Hair, SASS #29557
Here in Miami we have two Airbus 380's daily. Lufthansa comes in around 1:30 PM and leaves at around 4:30 PM at which time Air France comes in with their flight. There is only one gate that can accomodate these monsters and it's at the end of the "J" concourse. It has four jetways. Two for the second deck and two for the bottom deck. Both aircraft are cofigured for three classes with a total capacity of 525 passengers each. It is quite a trip to see each one disembark (more like vomit) its load. Now, if Lufthansa hasn't left when Air France pops in then the Frenchies have to wait in the ramp and burn fuel (which the airlines just love) until the Germans leave. It may eventually lead to WWIII, but this time the French will invade Germany. Now these flights are for the more elite and sophisticated passengers which jump the big pond going east. The ones on the west coast jumping the bigger pond to Asiatic ports are configured for 823 passengers........................single plebeain, serf class throughout! Imagine several of these monsters arriving at Hong Kong or Singapore around the same time
