Ace Hanlon
I have a 73 Trapper 357/38 special with 16 " barrel and it will 10 38 specials.
Mt.Zion Yellowboy, SASS #44074
I also have the same thing Ace has in .45. It also holds 10 but has the tapered spring. My .45s are almost 1/4" shorter than the .38s. so I would think they would hold 10. But I have seen capacity as 9+1 as you say. We will see. I am mainly looking for truck companion. Abilene, SASS # 27489
Unless something has changed, the Cimarron trappers hold 10. I don't know why the website now says 9+1, and it says it for the '73 trappers as well, which have also always held 10 (I had two of them in 45LC, still have one). Unless Uberti quit making the special spring and mag cap. I would call Cimarron and ask.
Mt.Zion Yellowboy, SASS #44074
I musta been addled when I did my last post. .38s that I load for the wife are about 1/4" shorter that the .45s I load thus my reasoning. My .45 trapper,w/reg spring, will hold 9 + about 1/2 of the 10th round. So if you figure the difference in length you pick up a good 2 inches over 10 rounds.
