Caliope Cupcake #13981 Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 It's been years so I'm watchin' it today-- like seein' McQueen again [1980] The cowboy hats are real good. Would like to have a couple of 'em ---as if I need more...
Capt. R. Hugh Kidnme Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Steve McQueen was originally picked to play Matthew Quigley in Quigley Down Under, before the project got shelved for many years. And, Steve passed away in the interim, before they started serious work on getting it done. Regards Capt R Hugh Kidnme
Caliope Cupcake #13981 Posted April 4, 2015 Author Posted April 4, 2015 oh ya cool drivin' too---the Mustang in Bullet and the motorcycle in The Great Escape
Tom Bullweed Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Tom Horn narrated his biography to his daughter during the 20 months that he awaited his execution. The Oklahoma Press version has her words in the final chapter. His story is an execellent read. I wish that the movie covered more of his life. He was with Al Siebert the final time that Geronimo was captured. He was a candidate but not awarded the Medal of Honor for his efforts to get 500 mules ashore during the Cuba campaign in 1898. The movie picks up around 1899 and leaves a lot out.

Paul Newman shook the bush and ate boiled eggs. I thought this was about Steve McQueen as Tom Horn. I'm confused.
Grizzly Dave Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Tom Horn is buried in a cemetery that borders the playground of an elementary school where I went to 1st and 2nd grades...

We have John Wesley Harden's tomb across the street from our favorite Mexican restaurant. I get his advice before attending a shoot
Pick Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Willie Nickell is buried in Cheyenne across the street from where Assassin works. He took me over and showed me the grave. The stone says that Tom Horn was hung for the murder, not that he committed it.
Nasty Newt # 7365 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 We have John Wesley Harden's tomb across the street from our favorite Mexican restaurant. I get his advice before attending a shoot Do they let you go downrange and shoot the targets in the back?
