Phiren Smoke GUNFIGHTER
My memory is not what it used to be, but I believe Navy Arms imported some 1860 Henry reproductions in 38 special some time between the mid 1960s and the mid 1970s. I would guess they were produced by Uberti but may have been Pietta. One review mentioned the heavy weight of the barrel with the intregal magazine and small bore. Hope this helps, Smoke
Colorado Coffinmaker
In the years I worked as a CAS Gunsmith, never saw an 1860 chambered in 38. Could be a re-barrel, although that would be some kind of expensive. Or the barrel and frame sleeved with the Breach Block from an 1866 in 38. I have also heard the "rumor" of a Navy Arms imported 38 1860. Never seen one no do I know of anyone who has. What is the Auction site??? Like to go looking myself.
