BATF says NO ban on M855 ammo

Recommended Posts

"At this time" could mean not today, but in 30 days.......might want to wait to see what happens at the end of the comment period.

I wonder if their goal was to have it all bought up and hoarded in a short period of time? If so, they succeeded from what I've read.

Some online retailers made a killing selling Lake City ammo at inflated prices.

I wouldn't go out and start celebrating just yet. They, ATF & White House, will let the dust settle and then take another run at it. Attach it to another bill, Executive Order, they are not going to give up on disarming American citizenry.

Keep your guard up and join the NRA and other groups that stand up and fight for our 2nd. Amendment Rights.

One must carefully parse words from these slugs. They said "not yet" they did not say "not ever". The prelude to the battle was won but the war is far from over. The slugs are coming again and they will continue to come until they are defunded and then they will come under a different name.

No ban UNTIL the review process is completed.

Pessimistic attitude LOL! Will bet ya $50 this effortl not go any further. You can pay me at the shoot at Paradise Pass in late May ;)

The ATF rule-making proposal:

As I read the articles in the press, this proposal is still open and pending; all the ATF is saying is that they will defer any decision until all of the comments are in.

Did you read the memo from the BATF yesterday in my link above?

The proposal is NOT open and pending. This go around is in fact a no-go.

"On its Twitter account, the agency told the public, “You spoke, we listened.” More than 80,000 people had written to the agency, which pulled the proposal even before its public comment period was to end Monday."
