Rye Miles #13621 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Political speech?? I think not. It sounded like a man trying to save his country from someone who wants to wipe it off the face of the map! It was a survival speech not a political one! --Rye
Loophole LaRue, SASS #51438 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 There comes a time when politics must yield, and serious men and women must take positions and make choices based upon survival, not political maneuvering. My sense is that this is one of those moments. LL
Loophole LaRue, SASS #51438 Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Interesting opinion piece in the paper this morning, pointing out that, regardless of which side of the deal/no deal debate you may be on, fact is that Bibi laid out what the deal means to him, in plain language, while the Executive branch has been silent and uncommunicative. If you expect people to follow, you have to lead. LL
Dubious Don #56333 Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 This is a history lesson: When my father learned the true horror of the Nazi's after D-Day, like every other man and woman of his generation he made a solemn promise; NEVER AGAIN. Our Nation has kept that promise for almost seventy years and, by the looks of the Congress and the people I know, work and live with, we intend to keep doing so despite the best efforts of some. BiBi drew some interesting and correct historical parallels. It is refreshing to hear what a real President sounds like. If not us, then who? If not now, when? America, land of the free, home of the brave. Keep the faith my brothers, remember the past so you can prepare for the future.
