I was visiting family in california last weekend and by brother needed some new boots, he took me over to Boot Barn and we were looking at some Cowboy Boots, he found a pair of Tony Lamas that looked good and felt good and decided to wear them out. We walked to the cashier and she said he had to take them off so she could scan them. He pulled them off and handed them to me and I noticed MADE IN CHINA on the inside.

Maybe just me but there is something so wrong about COWBOY boots made in china. I said did you know these are made in china? my brother looked in and tossed them on the counter and said "don't want them" he put his old beat up Olathes on and out went, at least the whiskey we were drinking that day was made in UTAH, :)

Bought a pair of the Chinese-made Tony Lamas by mistake a couple years ago. Then, last year a pair of Mexican or US-made Tony Lamas. The US or Mexican-made boots were twice the price and much better quality. -- GIT

I just bought a new electric range, GE, made in the good ol' USA!!! Things may be changing folks!

We used to buy a lot of boots in Mexico and always bought the Montana Brand.....craftsmanship par excellence!

Stateside, I've resorted to buying Double H and as mentioned above they are first rate.

Double H, some Tony Lamas, some Dan Post, Georgia Boot, some Justins are all made is US A or Mex. You can even buy certai New Balance sneakers made in the USA if you pay attention to the box.

Buying American is the easiest way to support our nation. The companies that bring in goods made in China are not evil; they are just providing the cheap, low quality goods that most people seem to be satisfied with.
