Correct Nipples for an old Richland Arms Co. 1858 Remington kit gun in .44

Nimble Fingers SASS# 25439

Recommended Posts

Got this from my Father before he passed and am now trying to get the accessories together to make a "cased" gun. Just now noticed that the nipples are gone and have no clue as to what manufacturer (Italian) I should buy as i do not know if the threads in the cylinder will be the same on the nipple. Any of you out there have any recollection? Thanks in advance.

Hi Nimble Fingers:

I saved the old Thunder Ridge page that showed which nipples were for which revolvers.

http://www.dakotaskipper.net/ebay/nips.html

This shows Treso 11-50-10 to be the correct product number, which corresponds to 6 x .75 threading, the same as Pietta revolvers take.

11-50-106 would be the 6-pack part number

SlicShot nipples for Piettas should fit as well.

Hope this helps

What ever happened to Thunder Ridge? I used to get a lot of flintlock supplies from them back about 15 years ago.
