stepnmud#33546 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Marbles Arms has a chart for the screw set for tang sights listed by their catalog numbers, but don't see a Chiappa listed. However the screw set for original Winchester 1886 is #995019 and is available at Buffalo Arms with that cat. no. Buffalo Arms shows screw size for original Winchester 1886 as 12-28 X 1.9" for rear screw. I did almost the same thing using a Marbles tang sight from a Marlin rifle to a Browning 1886 and had excellent service from Buffalo Arms and correct tang screw for my 1886

Chiappa has pretty much followed the original Win screw pitch's on both their 92's and their 86's.

So after reading your post and Nate's confirmation on it, I ordered the set you recommended for the Winchester 1886. I mean for $6.00 plus a couple other things I was wanting anyway and shipping, I pray it's the ticket! If not, no big loss! Thank y'all fer your help and advise! I think some of the suppliers really need to update their application charts to include this rifle. Again, Thank you! And have a good New Year!
