Deuce Stevens SASS#55996 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Christmas came early when Doc called and told me my rig was done. I have always liked the "slim jim" style holsters as I have always thought they represented a style that was more common in the old west. So he took that thought and did a few modern twists. 3/4" drop, 20 degree cant and fully steel lined so I can adjust retention, outset and how much twist out I want on the grips. He used a new stamping tool and it turned out pretty rustic looking. I also like a little barrel peeking out as well so he accomplished that as well.He nailed it and I dig em to say the least. Nice to work with someone who is able to recreate exactly what the customer wants and knows what it takes to make it work on the firing line. Thanks Doc!
Widder, SASS #59054 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Beautiful set of holsters Deuce. Thanks for posting the pixs. I just got meowndangself a new set of holsters from Curly Bill but don't have a way to post pixs right now. They are black, similar to my other holsters for a short barreled pistol.....except I ordered these 'Double Stitched'. So all around the holsters, he has two separate stitching patterns that run parallel to each other. I paid extra for the extra work, but worth every buck. Back to DOC: Everything I've ever seen of his work, including my Doc Noper SG belts, are top notch. He is a true craftsman in his work. ..........Widder
evil dogooder Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Just received my doc Noper rig last week. Thank you for recommending the angle and drop. You were spot on. Love it so far. Which is good because my wife stole my old rig in September

Slowhand Bob, 24229 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 A new set for Christmas did not work out for me but I have it on good intel that one will happen early next year. I agree with the natural beauty of your new holsters and really like them. Well my old pair will have to do me a bit longer! Since I have already given my shotgun belt away, one of those will need to be added also.
Capt. R. Hugh Kidnme Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Deuce, Those are beauties. The fit and stamping are leather working excellence. Doc Noper knows his stuff. CBO
