Deuce Stevens SASS#55996 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Sold.Have for sale a SKB 280 imported by Ithaca. 12 ga. 2 3/4". 26" barrels choked imp/mod. I'll go over the not so good first. At some point in time the outside of the barrels was not taken care of or stored improperly. They have had a fair amount of rust on them. The rust was removed leaving a very speckled finish heavily in the chamber area and end of the barrels. Bores are in excellent condition. The photos do a pretty good job of showing it. Now the good. Screw heads are clean and crisp and correctly positioned leaving me to believe that no one has ever been inside this gun since the factory. Lock up is 100% rock solid. Action works as it should. Receiver has not rust and only a very small amount of what I would call carry wear on it. Nicely engraved as well. The wood is darker than most of what I see on SKB's and has some beautiful grain on both the buttstock and forearm. Really pretty and I wish I had it on my gun. Wood has some average small dings and scratched but no gouges. Stock is uncut with factory plastic buttplate and the stock and forearm have NO CRACKS. This is a perfect gun for CAS as it's not a show piece so it won't come with the attached guilt of cutting up a NIB looking SKB. $850 shipped to you FFL. FFL must be willing to accept from a individual. I'm firm on this gun as it's rock solid and as you know they are getting harder and harder to come by and someone is going to end up with a very nice CAS shotgun for a lot less than most sell for. First "I'll take it" posted here gets it. Thanks for looking. See pics below. SOLD http://smg.photobucket.com/user/deucestevens45/library/SKB%20280?sort=3&page=1
