Calling out Chickasaw Bill

Recommended Posts

Hey Pardner, you haven't been around for a few days. Everything OK?

Got a question for you about fishing. I Just discovered drop shot rigging.

Have you ever used it and if so, has it been successful. I would take your

word over the internet any day. :D

I am thinking about rigging up for perch over in Lake Washington. What do you say?

any split shot will do the job , weight depends on depth and size of the plastic bait

I use the Palamor knot , almost all the time , only times I don't use it , is for small jigs and flys

too hard to double the line , on small hook eyes , I used to be able to tye it in the dark , by feel , not so much anymore

the nerve damage in the hands , took that away

just be sure to wet the line , before ya pull it tight

pretty tight , about like fishing a Texas rigged worm , it is my thoughts , it was developed to fish above a mat of grass , of standing weeds

pretty much like fishing bait on a river rig , keep the bait off the bottom , where the fish can see it better

similar to bottom bouncing for walleye

Going with the palomar knot on Fluorocarbon line.

Hook size for perch? 4 or 6?

Split shot for weight at bottom of line.

Any guarantees on how this will work?

I want this experience to be catching, not fishing. :D

Going with the palomar knot on Fluorocarbon line. Good combination, but use extra spit with the flourocarbon

Hook size for perch? 4 or 6? 4

Split shot for weight at bottom of line. 1/8oz.

Any guarantees on how this will work? Nope

Get some dynamite or an old crank telephone

That ain't what the Emperor of China sed. He liked them. That is why they are in this country.

Some Chinaman thought he could sneak some in for a special diet. What was he thinking.

Kinda like the Copper River Salmon?

How in the world would anyone know what river a wild salmon came out of?

Once it goes through the processing game, it could be anybody's guess.

BMC,

Use one a them bell sinkers on the end of your line then tie two hooks, first one a foot and a half above that sinker, the other the same above that one. I make it easy and use a little plastic doodad to attach two snelled #6 hooks to the main line. A 1/4 ounce weight ought to do it. Bounce the weight on the bottom to kick up mud. The perch come over to feed on the stuff you stirred up. Put a garden worm on one and a small minnow on the other. The fish will tell you what they want from there.
