Chula Kat
I just got a pair of Cimarron model P revolvers, and the grips are a lot thicker than I'm used to. Are there any grip makers that do thinner or gunfighter grips for them?
Abilene, SASS # 27489
Howdy CK. Not sure offhand who makes thinner ones. Bar-S can make thinner tru-ivory grips for them but that's pricey. When Evil Roy was trying out his first set of modified Model P's for a year to see if they would hold up, he just took a belt sander to the sides of the grips. Or maybe it was a band saw. Pretty ugly but they worked. The ER Checkered grips are supposed to be thinner than standard grips and I think they used to be but these days I think they may be the same thickness. If you want to spend some time with them you could sand them down to the size you like, then give them a nice oil finish.
