HELP! 2nd model s&w lemon squeeze in 32s&w

I came across a 1902-1909 s&w revolver top break hammerless safety ser# (153xxx) I want to know if I can shoot modern day ammo I picked up a brand new box of Remington 88gr lead rounds at bass pro shop can these be used in that gun I fixed the timing on it and it locks up solid I got it from an old friend who passed away and the story of this guns travel is awesome I would love to shoot it but I need some input the last we shot it was 4 years ago and she shot an old box of Peters 32 short colt in it and it worked but the box was from the early 30s any help would be nice

Most of these old guns require black powder loads. From the Smith and Wesson forum (for what it's worth):

 

"From someone whose opinion I value: "The models prior to 1909 should be considered blackpowder. Cylinders were not heat treated until 1929, shooting jacketed bullets in earlier guns should be discouraged."
