Winchester 1873 (Miroku) Review

Twas interesting to read about the problem with 38 Special loads.

Look at the photo towards the bottom that shows the jammed 38's. It is obvious why. The bullet was too far into the brass.

 

Was it not properly crimped?

 

With longer 357 Mag brass, the gun will probably cycle with wad cutters, but you need a long enough cartridge to act as a good cartridge stop or the rifle will jam every time....

Agree- serious lack of good crimping on the .38 loads. Also-load the .38 to a COAL closer to 1.600" and they should run sweet.

Just got mine ordered off Gunbroker. My daughter has one and runs it pretty durn well. Gonna catch her gonna catch her gonna catch her.....
