Doc Coles SASS 1188
This is an early Uberti 1876 with a 28 inch barrel,in 45-75 Uberti. It is in the box with its wrapper and trimmings (Benelli/Stoeger DVD and manual, though for some reason it came with an 1873 manual). This comes with a set of CH4D 45-75 Uberti dies (a $135 value) and 20 rounds of brass formed from .348 winchester (factory brass is about $40 for 20 when you can find it). I have shot this gun a bit including in several Monty Walsh matches. The bore is clean and bright and it shoots well with the brass formed from .348 and the Lyman Gould bullet. For those of you who don't know, the 45-75 Uberti chambering has the shoulder slightly forward of the original 45-75. Factory 45-75 shoots fine in it, but you can't shoot the 45-75 Uberti in a gun chambered for 45-75 Winchester. It does however mean that you can get a little more black in the case if that is your thing. There is a small light spot on the butstock, but it is faint and under the factory finish. This is a used gun and shows some signs of use, but none of abuse. It was my pride and joy when I bought it, but I just bought an identical gun with the 45-75 Winchester chamber and I can't see loading two different flavors of 45-75. If the gun does not sell, I will probably rebarrel it. $1200 plus actual shipping costs to your FFL. Your FFL must take shipments from private parties or you will also pay the cost of running it through my FFL for shipping. Pay by cashiers check and the gun gets held till it clears. http://s1135.photobucket.com/user/doc_coles/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image-3.jpg.html http://s1135.photobucket.com/user/doc_coles/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image-2.jpg.html http://s1135.photobucket.com/user/doc_coles/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image-1.jpg.html http://s1135.photobucket.com/user/doc_coles/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image.jpg.html
