I yes, then I assume a Senior could also move between Senior, 49r and Wrangler?

Absolutely, and Cowboy too if so desired. Key phrase is years of age or greater.

SHB page 13

• Cowboy Category shooters are competitors of any age range.
• Wrangler Category shooters are competitors 36 years of age or greater.
• Forty-Niners are competitors 49 years of age or greater.
• Seniors are competitors 60 years of age or greater. Senior Duelist is also a recognized
Senior Category. Senior Duelist category shooters may use any SASS–legal firearm or
ammunition but must shoot Duelist or Double-Duelist Style only,
• Silver Seniors, are competitors 65 years of age or greater.
• Elder Statesmen/Grand Dames are competitors 70 years of age or greater.

there is no Wrangler CLASS.

;)

Under current rules, a 65+ year old woman who shoots smokeless ammo two-handed has TEN "age-based" categories from which to choose.

A 25 year old young man using the same shooting style and ammo only has ONE.

Are you making up them $5 words again?

I just figgered I'd jump on that one before the usual suspects chimed in.

(did you mean "semantics" by any chance)

Somebody is being alittle insigrievious.

:P

p.s. - as a Senior, I signed up for GF (and not SrGF) for the TN state next week.

There are 15 GFer's and 10 or more SrGF's signed up for the TN State. AWESOME!

I figured no matter which way I turned, somebody is still gona kick my butt. I would rather it be a young gun.... ;)

This past Saturday I mulled over whether to sign up for 49'r wrangler or cowboy, weren't a lot of 49'rs so I chose that.... Poorly. No sooner did I put my name down than all the flaming fast 49'rs showed up fashionably almost late... Lol

Great minds (I hope). I went thru the same analysis and came to the same conclusion. Had the privilege of winning SGF last year so thought I'd try the young'uns instead of Grampa Gunfighter--but the competition is tough in either group.

Cassalong,

you're one of those speed demons that will probably be leaving thread marks on my back side as you whiz by.

But that's o.k., I hope you have a great match.

I hope the weather is warm and pretty. It should be a fast match.
