Cheyenne Ranger, 48747L
Didn't want to highjack the best stage writers thread so we have this one: Does anyone have a source for scenarios what could be the basis for others to use at major matches. Not so much how to lay out the scenario form on paper, rather interesting descriptions, start lines and shooting orders + anything else that ups the 'fun factor' We are trying to keep members enjoying our stages and always are willing to learn from others. cr p.s. maybe SASS should have something on their website where stages could be collected for all clubs to use. Sedalia Dave
I like the idea of a place where Stage scenarios could be deposited and shared with others. Would help those that have been doing this for a while to come up with new ideas. It would also let the up and coming stage writers see how it is done. Ramblin Gambler
Here's what we need to do to make awesome stages cheyenne. A bunch of us need to get together with a bottle of our favorite brown water and a selection of old movies. Then we'll watch a random movie and write up whatever scenarios come to mind. The only rule will be that you can't start writing till a quarter of your bottle is gone. The next day, someone who isn't hung over can make sure the round counts add up. Warden Callaway
I've seen some stage scenarios that look like they've been written after consuming too much brown water.

Michigan Slim
I thought Paradise Pass was a dry town. It was a dry town till the frat house opened up next door. We invited the Devil to visit and he stayed! LOL
Oklahoma Dee
Cheyenne Ranger, There are several ways to find out. For Winter Range (National Championship) Go to their website and they have a tab called 'stages' It lists the years - drill down to where there is a link for Action Match Stage Descriptions. Most others, including the End of Trail World Championships, you may have to get with someone that attended and request the shooter handbook. I do have a few from prior shoots, should you be interested. Cheers, OkD
Capt. George Baylor SASS#24287L
Ask SASS for a copy of the 2014 End Of Trail stages. These were among the best I've seen. If the 2014 Winter Range stages aren't online, ask one of their committee for a copy of theirs. These 2 events combined demonstrate the state of the art in Cowboy Action Shooting and were very popular with the paying customers.
