Bugs Bonney SASS # 10171
Oh but the local Cardinal fans just love it when the cards humiliate the Cubs. As a Cub fan I relish the idea of the Cubs keeping the Cards out of the playoffs.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Well, they have three more games this year. The way the Cards have played all year, anything can happen. Cubbies could very well be spoiler. But then I would have to put a hex on them. So you are the curse! I debated about getting my St. Louis Cardinals hat our; they start losing games and slipping. They're the CUBS, one more hex ain't gonna matter. Capt. James H. Callahan
Rangers swept the Braves and beat the A's last night. WWWOOOHOOO!!! (I know, we've really sucked this year. Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Those dang Pittsburgh Pirates are too close for me to feel comfortable. Cubbies did win one today. They beat Cincinnati. That should count for something.

Shawnee McGrutt
BMC, Boston is still trying to put the hurt on the Cards. They lost again to the Pirates.
Calamity Kris
Check out those ANGELS!!!!! So far, the best team in all of MLB for several weeks running now. I would dearly love to fly home for a World Series game......
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
If I had my druthers, Uno could fly to you for the world series. Well, Cards play Milwaukee today but they are not much of a threat at this time. Boston goes up against Pittsburgh and their (Boston) record is not all that good this year. Don't think the Yankees have much to worry about with Boston this year.
Abilene Slim SASS 81783
And the Kansas City Royals might make the playoffs for the first time in 29 years. They're 1/2 game behind Detroit and start a 3-game series against them tomorrow. Royals lost 2 of 3 against Tigers 10 days ago. Gonna be interesting. Shawnee McGrutt
BMC, as far as your statement, " their (Boston) record is not all that good." . That is an understatement, they should just go and get their golf clubs and take t.he rest of the season off. Should have done this after the all star break. As we in Red Sox Nation say, wait till next season.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Can't they buck up for the series with Pittsburgh? Is that too much to ask?

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Well, the Cards take on the Cincinnati Reds at St. Louis. That is a three game series and that is always a lively game. I suspect that those two towns don't like each other all that much and Cincinnati would love to knock the Cards out of the catbird seat. The rest of the season is on the road with a three game series in Chicago with the chubby cubbies. Then on to Arizona. I am not certain that my bladder can stand it. Or maybe it is the beer.
