Judge Lewis
I have 3 Rossi model '92 rifles. Two have the brass bead on the front sight and the other has the sight mounted on the barrel band. I know that Steve Young has a replacement for the barrel band that he does. Does anyone know of a quick and dirty fix for the barrel band sight? Thanks.

Judge Lewis
I saw those but thought they didn't fit a '92?
Buxton Lookout, SASS #40999
I filed down the top of the sight flat, and then used a round needle file to contour it. I used JB weld to attach a short length of brass rod. Buxton Lookout
Major E A Sterner #12916
Go to a model train store and buy a small piece of brass flat stock, then carefully cut a groove into the sight.cut the flat stock to the size needed for the front sight and place it in the groove.carefully drill a cross hole into sight and flat stock then pin in place, Done
Judge Lewis
I assume that painting the tip of the sight with gold colored paint is a no-no??
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
I assume that painting the tip of the sight with gold colored paint is a no-no?? You can paint a front sight. Look at the rule book and it explains what is allowed and not allowed.
Anvil Al #59168
I assume that painting the tip of the sight with gold colored paint is a no-no?? You can. Just wears off. And you can not polish it to really make it stand out.
