I am very interested in buying the Colt Police Positive Special. Also the dies and the bullets.

Is the "small blemish on top of frame" from rust pitting?
Do you know anything about the history of this gun?
How much has it been used?
Does it function okay?
Any problems with timing?

If there is no bad rust pitting, and it shoots good; then I will buy it.

The blemish happened when I had it stored in a case that had a manufactures tag that somehow damaged the top of the frame. Must of drawn in moisture and then the tag must have had some sort of chemical in it. The rest of the gun is free of rust or pitting.

I have used it sparingly, less than 300 rounds in the last 4 years. I used it once for a wild bunch shoot with a club that allowed any old timey double or slide action handgun. If a Colt letter wasn't so expensive I would have gotten one.

Timing is fantastic with a perfect lockup, no movement at all when the hammer is down and the trigger is back.

I should have specified that I will sell to the first "I'll take it!" but since I didn't I am going to give greenacres first option followed by Slick McCade.
