Slowhand Bob, 24229 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 The title tells it all, who do we cap and ballers get to bow to? Knowing the guns used to win would also be great? All other details from the Frontiersmen who got to shoot would be great for us wanna be's.
Goody, SASS #26190 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Nuttin Gracefull, 5 1/2 inch Pietta 51 Navies in 44. 73 in 38, 20 inch barrel. SKB 200. MY HERO!
Mad Dog Jack, SASS #77862 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Nuttin Gracefull is nuttin short of amazing.I sat down with him at Winter Range a few years ago and he showed me how he thumbs the pistols duelist. Amazing!
Slowhand Bob, 24229 Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 For shame for shame, you didn't film it fer the rest of us? Would love to see any winning techniques up close and in slow-mo. Never can hear enuff about the Frontiersman category!

Never can hear enuff about the Frontiersman category! His cocking technique is smooooooth. It's almost a circular motion, with the thumb going out and up, bringing the hammer down. then, with no discernble stop the thumb goes out and up again, ready to cock the hammer again seemingly before the trigger has even been pulled. Of coursehe shoots double duelist, and there is no such thing as a strong hand. Both hands work as well as the other. And the best thing is if you ever meet him, he will sit with you in 100 degrees and teach you how to do it. It's just the way he and T Bone roll.

I think there were 4 national champions in there. A true revelation watching him, and truly good people.
Slowhand Bob, 24229 Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Perhaps we will get to see those techniques on youtube sometimes. I recently found TBones speed cocking the hammer double video on youtube and was really impressed. Sad to say it felt like I broke me damn hand the first time I raked them dang hammers on my TNT when trying to emulate his stye!
Goody, SASS #26190 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Here's one of Nuttin shooting at our range, LSFSC. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mt6Ty71NZt0&feature=player_embedded and another from his POV shooting GF in 2010 shooting at Badlands Bar 3, Fort Goody. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJycLy_QgUc&feature=player_embedded

It also helps that he has really long fingers and thumbs.
Noz Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I keep telling my self, "Whatever Nuttin can do in 20 seconds, I can do in 45". He is not of this planet. Watching his shoot is a pleasure whether he is shooting double duelist, Frontiersman or Outlaw.
